eco-LOCAL refers to our Local Ecology and Local Economy.  Conserving our resources and providing value to enhance our independent local businesses.  Enjoying each day by connecting with local people and experiences. Knowing that your activities are adding to the health of your community and the natural resources in your area.

How does eco-Local Living meet it's purpose?

Eco-Local Living provides print and web publications as well as regional leadership in sustainable living lifestyles through study, education and advocacy. Our print publication reaches 270,000 Capital District residents each year, providing a perfect first step toward a sustainable "eco-local" lifestyle. Our web publication guides residents through the eco local living process by introducing them to the local business community in our region, and the people who are leading by their example.

Our web services include active discussions on relevant topics, news in the form of print, photo, video and audio.

Some of our leadership projects include:

Creating a local currency to encourage local value exchange.

Working with Local Leadership organizations to include eco-local choices into their daily habits.

Coming Soon...a eco-local business certification program and online shopping portal for qualified businesses

How we earn value for our efforts?

We earn great satisfaction in knowing we are building the foundations of a sustainable region.

We also earn revenue by connecting local businesses to local consumers through print ads, banner ads, online videos and podcast sponsorships.
